New Orleans Whitney Plantation & Swamp Kayak Tour Combo

A rich ecological and cultural experience of Louisiana! Our Plantation Combo Tour is a combination of our Manchac swamp kayak tour followed by a lunch stop and then a tour of Whitney Plantation. Whitney Plantation is one of the only historic sites focused solely on the slave experience and features historic buildings, museum exhibits, modern memorials and first person narratives which give a voice to the enslaved people who worked and lived on plantations in Louisiana.

The Plantation/Kayak Combo Tour experience includes:

  • Transportation to and from New Orleans (Pickup 7:45am at Rampart Treehouse, 740 N Rampart St)
  • Manchac Swamp Kayak Tour, where you will experience the Louisiana Bald Cypress-Tupelo swamp and view wildlife.
  • Drive to a Cajun/Creole restaurant with an option to purchase food (cost of lunch is not included). •Self-guided audio tour of Whitney Plantation (available in 6 languages).
  • Time to visit the plantation exhibits, baptist church and gift shop.

Our Plantation/Kayak Combo Tour is perfect for tourists or groups looking to combine these two must-see destinations in one all-day activity (which you would not be able to do utilizing separate shuttle services). Additionally our Combo tour is a more personal experience; you are typically with a smaller group and our kayak guide is driving you to each stop from start to finish.

NOTE: There is a possibility of being rescheduled if we do not have a minimum number of people booked on the combo tour. We will give you the opportunity to; reschedule to a different day, join a kayak tour going out the same day or make it a private combo tour if this happens. We will alert you the night before if this happens. Also note that on rare occasions when Whitney Plantation is closed or unavailable, we will give you the option to visit Oak Alley Plantation instead.
