What to Know Before You Go
-
You are responsible for your own safety and decisions, we are simply providing the equipment in a more convenient manner so that you do not have to transport it, it is no different than renting a bike or vehicle for personal use. If you do not feel safe paddling in a kayak or in open water, please do not rent our equipment. Our self-serve kayaks are for paddlers who are comfortable being on the water and familiar with boating safety. Kayaking in Bayou Sauvage is subject to organized boating traffic. Motor boats, sailboats, barges and working vessels travel in the marina. Kayakers should always stay out of the boating channels. When kayaking please look both ways, let all boat traffic pass first. PFD’s/ Life jackets must be worn at all times
*By making a reservation, you are agreeing to waive all liability and New Orleans Kayak Tours is NOT responsible for any injuries related to kayak rental.
-
1) Schedule your rental using the booking calendar on the right.
If you didn’t receive the confirmation email, please check your email spam folder.

5) Launch & Enjoy!
You will launch directly into the water from the launch site and heading left until you are out of the marina and into the Bayou. Look around for markers, there is a communication pole next to the marina that you can see for 100 miles. This will always guide you back in case you lose your compass.
