Combo Tour – Swamp Kayak Tour and Plantation Tour


If you are searching for a historical, cultural, ecological and picturesque day tour - this is your tour! You'll get to see the Whitney Plantation dominated by Live Oak corridors, learn about the history of slavery on the Mississippi, kayak through dense cypress forest, expansive wetlands, and an array of wildlife surrounding you. This combo tour is perfect for beginners and adventure seekers alike.

Swamp Kayak Tour
Drive to Manchac Swamp where you will be guided via kayak through a secluded, calm & pristine setting. You’ll get to see dense cypress forests, expansive wetlands, and an array of wildlife surrounding you as you paddle.
Cajun Food break
After your walking tour, you will visit B&C Seafood Restaurant where you will have a chance to purchase lunch and enjoy some local Cajun cuisine if you like.
Plantation Tour
Take a guided tour of Whitney Plantation on the historic River Road that winds down the river to New Orleans. The Whitney had been turned into a museum dedicated to telling the story of slavery and is one of a kind in the country. Here you will learn the history of the slaves in Louisiana and how the Whitney Plantation Museum have honored them.

12:30 B&C restaurant stop (pack a lunch if you don’t plan on purchasing food here)

Transportation is included on this tour by a 3rd Party vendor and the pickup location is at Port of Call on Esplanade Ave.

Group Size

Plantation and Kayak Combo Tours can be arranged for a minimum of 2 people. Call or book online for private tours. For single guests, we can add you to a trip already organized unless a private tour is preferred. We use tandem kayaks only on the swamp tour but they can be set up for single passenger paddles. (Single kayaks available on private tours, or odd number groups)
